Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our machine assembly team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in assembling industrial machinery, conveyors, and automation equipment. This role involves working on the shop floor to build, install, and test machinery while ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble packaging machines, conveyors, and automation equipment as per engineering and assembly drawings.
- Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, levelling, and installation of machine components.
- Install and integrate gearboxes, motors, chains, belts, bearings, and pneumatic components.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
- Assist in machine testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure accurate fitment and adherence to quality standards during assembly.
- Coordinate with design, electrical, and production teams during machine build activities.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with 5S and safety practices.
- Identify and report assembly issues and suggest improvements where applicable.
Requirements
- ITI Fitter / ITI Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in machine assembly, industrial machinery, conveyors, or manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and understand engineering and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of mechanical components such as gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience in packaging machinery, conveyor systems, automation equipment, or SPMs will be an added advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
