Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review process design calculations, hydraulic profiles, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing for WTP/STP projects.
- Develop detailed engineering documents including process data sheets, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
- Collaborate with proposal, design, procurement, and execution teams for smooth project execution.
- Select and size equipment such as pumps, blowers, valves, membranes, clarifiers, diffusers, and chemical dosing systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, mass balance, and process optimization for treatment plants.
- Provide technical support during project bidding, estimation, and execution phases.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and vendors for design approvals and technical clarifications.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant IS, CPHEEO, BIS, and international standards.
- Support site teams during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of process equipment.
- Participate in HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and ensure process safety in designs.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies (Conventional, MBR, MBBR, SBR, UF/RO, ZLD, etc.).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and process simulation tools.
- Sound knowledge of design codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (with process design exposure).
- Experience: 3–8 years of experience in process design and engineering of WTP/STP/ETP projects.
