We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Executive HR (Payroll) to lead our payroll operations with precision and enthusiasm. Duties
- Manage and execute payroll processing using advanced payroll software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or other HRIS systems.
- Ensure accurate data entry for employee hours, benefits, deductions, and tax information while maintaining meticulous records.
- Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting practices including journal entries, account reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Oversee benefits administration related to payroll including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to perform month-end closing activities involving accounts payable and receivable related to payroll expenses.
- Maintain compliance with governmental regulations by preparing tax filings and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal payroll laws.
- Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Support non-profit or governmental accounting requirements as needed while managing complex payroll structures.
- Assist with audits by providing detailed reports on payroll transactions and related financial data.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing payroll operations using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro or similar HRIS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of payroll management principles combined with familiarity in accounting software like QuickBooks or other financial tools.
- Deep understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and account reconciliation processes.
- Expertise in benefits administration, tax regulations related to payroll processing, and compliance standards across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability in data entry accuracy along with proficiency in 10 key typing skills for efficient processing.
- Knowledge of human resources functions including employee data management and benefits coordination.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and resolve discrepancies swiftly.
- Experience working within corporate or non-profit accounting environments involving governmental or general ledger accounting practices.
