Commis Chef (Veg Kitchen) | Café & Main Course

We're looking for a passionate Commis Chef to join our team at Soul Cafe, the in-house kitchen serving guests staying at our luxury villas in Hosur.
If you have 1–2 years of kitchen experience, enjoy cooking, and are eager to learn, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare café-style snacks including:
- Sandwiches
- Burgers
- Wraps
- Momos
- Fries
- Maggi
- Finger foods
- Platters
- Prepare simple vegetarian main course dishes such as:
- Dal
- Paneer dishes
- Fried Rice
- Noodles
- Curries
- Rotis/Parathas (preferred)
- Ensure food quality and presentation are consistent.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Follow recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor stock levels and inform the manager about inventory requirements.
- Help with food preparation, cutting vegetables, marination and kitchen setup.
- Maintain proper food storage and FIFO practices.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience working in a restaurant, café, hotel or cloud kitchen.
- Experience preparing vegetarian food.
- Knowledge of café snacks and Indian/Chinese cuisine.
- Ability to work independently during service.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stay on-site.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using fryers, grills and induction cooktops.
- Knowledge of simple North Indian and Indo-Chinese recipes.
- Ability to prepare multiple orders efficiently.
- Team player with a customer-first mindset.
