Tasks & Activities : 1.a Vendor Relationships
- Develop long-term partnerships with reliable vendors who understand our business needs.
- Regularly communicate with vendors to ensure clarity on requirements, pricing, and timelines.
- Handle vendor grievances or disputes with professionalism.
- Be in touch with supplier when required for change in order or their confirmation.
1.b Team Management
- Lead and develop a skilled procurement team.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback
- Conduct regular team meetings and foster collaboration.
- Ensure cross-departmental coordination.
- Allocate tasks based on skills and priorities.
2. Timely Procurement and Stock Management
- Monitor and understand stock requirements in real-time.
- Place order and get confirmation, follow up on purchase orders to avoid delays.
- Coordinate closely with logistics to ensure on-time deliveries to customers or warehouses.
3. Cost Efficiency
- Negotiate favorable terms, including discounts, to keep costs competitive.
- Regularly evaluate alternative vendors for better pricing or quality.
- Reduce avoidable expenses like freight and packaging through smart planning.
- Compare prices of different vendors to gain maximum ROI
