Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in subsystem/component design and development for locomotive, automotive, or heavy industries.

Proficient in UG NX with working knowledge of Teamcenter (TcE).

Own key CTQs such as delivery, schedule, and quality for assigned subsystems within engineering teams.

Ensure all project management activities are executed on time, with a priority focus on maintaining and updating trackers.

Deliver value additions and cost-saving opportunities beyond customer expectations.

Possess thorough knowledge of engineering fundamentals.

Strong skills in structural calculations, including bolted joint, weld joint and tolerance stack up analysis

Design calculations.

Sheet metal design

Ability to analyze shop-floor issues and provide effective solutions.

Experience in concept generation using structured idea-generation methods.

Good understanding of new component introduction processes, FMEA, and component validation.

Strong knowledge of engineering standards such as ANSI, ISO, and ASTM.

Proficient in English communication (oral and written) and MS Office.

Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack‑up, and DFA/DFM/DFS principles.

Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field Service, and external engineering consultants

Participate in meetings with functional managers, CFT members, and tollgate reviews.
Basic understanding of FEA, including coordinating with analysis teams and interpreting shared reports.
