1. Contract Workmen Management • Oversee engagement, deployment, and monitoring of contract workmen across departments. • Ensure manpower availability as per production and maintenance requirements. • Maintain accurate records of contractor workforce, attendance, and wage verification. • Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards by contract staff. • Address grievances of contract workmen. 2. Statutory Compliance • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws such as: o Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act o Minimum Wages Act o EPF, ESIC regulations o Bonus, Gratuity, and Shops & Establishment Act (if applicable) • Conduct regular audits of contractor documentation and statutory registers. • Liaise with government authorities, inspectors, and auditors. • Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and documentation. 3. Vendor / Contractor Management • Identify, onboard, and evaluate labor contractors. • Monitor contractor performance, billing, and SLA adherence. • Verify contractor invoices against attendance and statutory compliance. • Ensure contractors adhere to safety, hygiene, and compliance standards. 4. Administration • Manage general administration functions such as: o Transport o Security o Housekeeping • Ensure facilities comply with regulatory and audit requirements (e.g., USFDA, WHO, MHRA standards). • Oversee workplace safety and hygiene in coordination with EHS team. • Manage office infrastructure, utilities, and maintenance. 5. Audit & Compliance • Support internal and external audits (e.g., regulatory audits). • Ensure documentation readiness for inspections. • Maintain SOPs related to contract labor and admin functions. • Ensure data integrity and documentation as per pharma standards. Key Skills & Competencies: • Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance • Experience in pharma regulatory environment (GMP/GDP) • Vendor management and negotiation skills • Audit handling (internal & external) • Strong documentation and record-keeping ability • Leadership and team management • Problem-solving and conflict resolution __________________________________________________________________________________ Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree (mandatory) • MBA / MSW/ PGDM in HR or Industrial Relations preferred • Additional certification in labor laws or compliance is a plus __________________________________________________________________________________ Experience: • 8–15 years of experience in: o Contract labor management o Administration o Preferably in pharmaceutical / manufacturing industry
