Backend Engineer (Node.js) – Dialer / Telephony / IVR Specialist

About the Role
We are building an AI-native omnichannel communication platform that enables businesses to engage customers seamlessly through Voice, SMS, Email, WhatsApp, and Chat. We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, Dialer Systems, Telephony APIs, and IVR development to build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
- Build secure and high-performance RESTful APIs.
- Integrate telephony platforms and APIs for inbound/outbound calling, SMS, and omnichannel communication.
- Design and implement IVR workflows, call routing, and call automation.
- Optimize call handling, agent management, and queue management for high-volume concurrent traffic.
- Optimize PostgreSQL and Redis for efficient data storage, retrieval, and caching.
- Collaborate with Product, Frontend, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Ensure platform scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in telephony, VoIP, SIP, and backend development.
Mandatory Skills
- 4–5 years of Backend Development experience.
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Dialer/Telephony projects.
- Strong expertise in Node.js.
- Experience building REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Telephony APIs and SIP protocols.
- Experience designing and implementing IVR systems and Call Routing Logic.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Understanding of call logging, customer data management, and backend architecture.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to scalable distributed backend systems.
