Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer to handle machine installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and be willing to travel for customer visits.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Technical Support
- Install, commission, and validate machines at customer sites.
- Attend customer complaints and provide timely technical solutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and machine health check-up visits.
- Diagnose machine faults and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Machine Trials & Documentation
- Conduct in-house and on-site machine trials.
- Prepare service reports, trial reports, and technical documentation.
- Submit trial reports, photos, videos, and supporting documents.
- Maintain proper records of service activities.
Customer Training
- Train customer operators and maintenance teams on machine operation and maintenance.
- Guide customers on preventive maintenance and best operating practices.
Repair & Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair machine components.
- Test repaired equipment before dispatch.
Business Support
- Identify opportunities for spare parts, service contracts, and machine sales.
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth service execution.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain service records as per ISO standards.
- Update machine history and spare records in ERP (Epicor preferred).
- Support ISO documentation and audits.
Operational Support
- Assist in machine assembly, packing, dispatch, and warehouse activities whenever required.
- Prepare monthly service schedules and departmental reports.
Required Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of machine installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Preventive maintenance experience.
- Excellent customer handling and communication skills.
- Technical report writing and documentation.
- Basic ERP knowledge (Epicor preferred).
- Familiarity with ISO documentation.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3–4 years of experience as a Service Engineer in an engineering/manufacturing company.
- Experience in machine installation, commissioning, and customer support.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
