Job Title: Hostel Warden
Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible, empathetic, and highly organized Hostel Warden to manage our residential facility and ensure a safe, clean, and conducive living environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will act as a mentor, administrator, and first point of contact for student/resident welfare, discipline, and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Administration & Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the hostel, including room allocations, check-ins, and check-outs.
- Maintain accurate records of residents, attendance logs, guest registers, and official correspondence.
- Coordinate with maintenance, cleaning, and security staff to ensure the facility is safe, hygienic, and well-maintained.
- Supervise the hostel mess/canteen to ensure quality, hygiene, and timely serving of meals.
2. Resident Welfare & Support
- Act as a primary mentor and counselor to residents, helping them adjust to communal living.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, arrange transport to hospitals if needed, and notify higher authorities/parents.
- Address and resolve residents' grievances, conflicts, and personal issues with empathy and confidentiality.
3. Discipline & Safety
- Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and curfew timings strictly and fairly.
- Conduct regular room inspections and rounds to ensure security and compliance with guidelines.
- Take strict action against prohibited activities (e.g., substance abuse, ragging/bullying, unauthorized guests).
- Implement and oversee emergency protocols (fire drills, evacuation plans, first-aid availability).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (degrees in Social Work, Psychology, or Hospitality/Management are a plus).
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in hostel administration, hospitality, student affairs, or a similar residential management role.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with residents, parents, and management.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional conflict-resolution, counseling, and crisis-management abilities.
- Tech Savvy: Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and email communication for record-keeping.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
