About the Role

- We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to build and own the core
- catalogue platform powering national product identity and registry services. The ideal
- candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and cloud-agnostic
- backend systems that support product identity management, certification workflows,
- marketplace integrations, and AI-agent interoperability.
- The role requires strong expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures,
- API development, and secure service design.
Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain the core catalogue platform, including:
a. National PIN Registry
b. Product Identity Service
c. Multi-confidence Upload Pipeline (Brand/OEM → Verified Sellers →
Public)
2. Build and manage:
a. Claim and certification ingestion systems
b. W3C Verifiable Credentials (VC)
c. DID-based issuance workflows
3. Design and develop:
a. REST APIs
b. MCP APIs for marketplaces and AI agents
4. Integrate external systems and standards:
a. HSN
b. EAN / UPC / GS1
c. FSSAI
d. BIS
e. Ayush
5. Develop high-performance backend services using:
a. Go
b. Java
c. Python
6. Implement event-driven architectures using:
a. Kafka
b. gRPC
7. Ensure:
a. Scalable schema design
b. Idempotent workflows
c. Eventual consistency
d. Fault-tolerant systems
8. Implement:
a. Zero-trust API security
b. Secure service-to-service communication
c. Authentication and authorization best practices
9. Collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams to deliver
cloud-agnostic and vendor-neutral solutions.
10. Required Skills & Qualifications
11. 4–6 years of experience in Backend Engineering or Platform Engineering.
12. Strong programming expertise in:
