About the Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide expert support in Book-to-Report (B2R) activities, driving process excellence, standardization, and automation while ensuring compliance with global accounting and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilties:
- Provide end-to-end B2R process, technical, and business expertise to support Service Delivery Units.
- Support the transition of new service scopes, ensuring adherence to global SOPs, tools, and change management requirements.
- Design, steer, standardize, and continuously improve global Product Costing & Inventory Valuation processes.
- Ensure end-to-end process consistency and alignment with BASF’s enterprise architecture.
- Own and manage the global service portfolio, including KPIs, controls, compliance requirements, and service definitions.
- Drive finance systems and project initiatives, including process optimization, IT modernization, and maintenance/control of relevant SAP tables and systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and governance of technical solutions and process changes.
- Drive automation, RPA, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual activities, and enhance process effectiveness.
- Ensure process readiness and integration for major transformation programs and system transitions, including SAP S/4HANA.
- Build strong relationships with B2R Service Delivery teams, Controlling communities, Corporate Center functions, and global stakeholders to align process and technology improvements with business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- More than 5 years of experience in Finance.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Product Costing & Inventory Valuation.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Fluent In English
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in SAP FI (R/3 and/or S/4HANA), with in-depth understanding of core financial processes.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (mandatory).
- Proven experience and deep functional knowledge Product Costing & Inventory Valuation in global shared services environments, including transitions, migrations, or process consolidations.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive decisions and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
- Knowledge and experience of MS office tools.
- Strong lateral leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and reliable outputs.
