Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Engineer to take ownership of our end-to-end manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and continuously improving production while ensuring quality, productivity, safety, and on-time delivery. This role requires someone who is comfortable working across multiple functions and contributing wherever needed to achieve operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute daily production activities to meet delivery schedules.
- Monitor production targets and ensure optimum machine utilization.
- Allocate work to operators and contract labour based on production requirements.
- Coordinate production activities across all manufacturing processes, including cutting, punching, bending, deburring/buffing, insulation, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure smooth material flow throughout the production process.
Shop Floor Management
- Supervise day-to-day shop floor operations.
- Ensure adherence to production plans, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Monitor manpower productivity and optimize resource utilization.
- Maintain discipline, housekeeping, and safety standards on the shop floor.
- Coordinate with maintenance service providers whenever machine breakdowns occur.
Process Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks and implement productivity improvements.
- Reduce cycle time, material wastage, and rework.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through process optimization and standardization.
- Participate in new product development and process validation activities.
Quality Coordination
- Work closely with the Quality team to ensure first-piece approval and in-process quality checks.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions for production-related issues.
Production Documentation
- Maintain daily production reports and manufacturing records.
- Update production transactions and work orders in the ERP system.
- Track production efficiency, rejection, rework, and downtime.
- Ensure proper documentation of production activities.
Inventory & Material Coordination
- Coordinate with the Stores team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables.
- Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) inventory.
- Support inventory reconciliation and material planning.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Quality, Stores, Purchase, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Support customer visits, production audits, and process validations whenever required.
- Assist management in implementing new systems, procedures, and operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Electrical, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in fabrication, sheet metal, busbar, electrical, or precision manufacturing.
- Experience in supervising production teams and shop floor operations.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Good understanding of manufacturing drawings, production planning, and process control.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, works with a hands-on approach, and is comfortable managing responsibilities across multiple functions. While the primary focus is production, the role requires close collaboration with quality, stores, dispatch, and other operational teams to ensure smooth day-to-day manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, proactive, and committed to driving operational excellence.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
