Job Title: Quality Engineer
Role Purpose:
To execute day-to-day quality control, inspection, documentation, and compliance activities ensuring that all products and services meet specified requirements and Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as per ITPs and SOPs
- Verify material identification, traceability, and MTCs
- Raise NCRs for nonconforming outputs and support corrective actions
- Maintain inspection, testing, and calibration records
- Coordinate supplier and third-party inspections as required.
Authority:
- Accept or reject materials within defined inspection criteria.
- Raise NCRs and inspection reports
- Communicate quality observations to relevant internal teams
Accountability:
- Accuracy and integrity of inspection and test records
- Timely execution of inspection activities
- Compliance with Quality SOPs and ITPs
Qualification & Competency Requirements:
Education: ITI - Fitter / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related qualification
Experience: 1–3 years in Metal industry (Pipes, Tubes, Fabrication), Experience in Quality Control / Inspection preferred
Technical Competence: Inspection methods, MTC review, dimensional and visual inspection, Measurement using Vernier, Micrometer, D meter,
System Competence: ERP / SAP / Zoho, MS Excel
Quality Competence: ISO 9001 awareness, inspection practices, traceability
Safety Awareness: Basic HSE knowledge and safe inspection practices
Behavioral Skills: Attention to detail, discipline, and teamwork
Market Salary Band for ref only :
1. Basic range: ₹18,000 – ₹26,000 per month
2. Ideal Fit : ₹20,000 – ₹24,000 per month
3. Strong Candidate (ready-to-handle independently):₹24,000 – ₹28,000 per month
