Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Project Planning / Licensing Officer – Civil to support project planning, scheduling, statutory approvals, licensing, and coordination activities for civil construction and infrastructure projects. The role will be responsible for developing and monitoring project schedules, coordinating with consultants and government authorities, tracking approvals and permits, and ensuring that project activities progress in accordance with approved timelines and statutory requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare detailed project schedules, work programs, and milestone plans.
- Develop and maintain baseline schedules using appropriate planning tools.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays or potential risks.
- Collect progress updates from site teams, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule updates.
- Coordinate with project teams to establish realistic activity durations and resource requirements.
- Identify critical activities and assist in developing recovery and mitigation plans.
- Monitor project milestones and ensure timely completion of planned activities.
- Assist the Project Manager in project planning, forecasting, and overall progress monitoring.
Licensing, Approvals & Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of applications for project-related licenses, permits, NOCs, and statutory approvals.
- Liaise with government departments, local authorities, statutory bodies, utilities, and other relevant agencies.
- Maintain an updated tracker for all licenses, permits, approvals, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Follow up with authorities and consultants to ensure approvals are obtained within project timelines.
- Review approval requirements and coordinate with technical consultants for necessary documentation and drawings.
- Monitor validity and renewal dates of licenses and permits.
- Ensure that required approvals are obtained before commencement of relevant project activities.
- Maintain proper records of applications, correspondence, approvals, permits, and supporting documents.
- Escalate approval-related delays or issues that may affect project execution.
Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, contractors, surveyors, and site teams.
- Participate in project review meetings and prepare action trackers.
- Coordinate planning requirements between design, procurement, construction, and approval teams.
- Follow up on pending technical submissions and approvals.
- Assist in resolving coordination issues that may impact project schedules.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project planning and licensing databases and trackers.
- Prepare management reports covering project progress, approvals, pending actions, and key risks.
- Maintain proper documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Support preparation of presentations and reports for management review.
- Ensure all project records and approval documents are properly organized and accessible.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Additional qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, or Planning is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in civil construction, infrastructure, real estate, or project development.
- Working knowledge of project planning, scheduling, statutory approvals, and construction processes.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of civil construction processes and project planning.
- Good understanding of statutory approval and licensing procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent planning software.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings, project schedules, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple approvals and deadlines simultaneously.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
