Role Purpose
The Academic Developer is responsible for turning students into capable, independent and placement-ready software professionals.
The role is not limited to teaching.
The Academic Developer must:
Teach → Make Students Practise → Evaluate → Identify Gaps → Give Feedback → Improve Capability
Key Responsibilities1. Capability Sessions
- Teach programming, development and computer science concepts clearly.
- Explain not only what, but also how and why.
- Use examples, demonstrations and live coding.
- Ensure students understand before moving forward.
2. Application Labs
- Conduct supervised practice sessions.
- Make students solve, code, build and debug independently.
- Observe how students approach problems.
- Avoid simply giving answers.
3. Daily Student Evaluation
Evaluate students based on actual work:
- Problem solving
- Technical understanding
- Independence
- Accuracy
- Speed
- Communication
- Completion
- Consistency
- Improvement
4. Student Intervention
- Identify students who are falling behind.
- Find the actual capability gap.
- Give specific improvement tasks.
- Re-evaluate after intervention.
- Escalate serious or repeated issues where required.
5. Technical Mentorship
Support students with:
- Programming doubts
- Debugging
- Projects
- Development
- Databases
- APIs
- Architecture
- Interview preparation
The objective is to unblock and teach, not solve everything for the student.
6. Placement Readiness
- Prepare students for role-specific interviews.
- Understand Job Descriptions and required skills.
- Conduct mock interviews.
- Evaluate technical readiness.
- Give clear improvement actions.
7. Continuous Self-Development
Every Academic Developer is expected to continuously improve in:
- Programming
- Problem solving
- Software development

Required Technical Capability
Candidate should have strong fundamentals in:
- Programming
- Problem solving
- DSA fundamentals
- Object-oriented programming
- SQL and databases
- Frontend/backend development
- APIs
- Git/GitHub
- Software development lifecycle
Understanding of the following is preferred:
- Software architecture
- System design
- Testing
- Deployment

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
