ROLE INTRODUCTION
We are looking for an experienced and proactive finance professional to lead the enhancement of our finance processes, reporting framework, and accounting systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex accounting challenges, improving financial processes, and building scalable reporting structures that support business growth.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to review existing accounting practices, streamline financial records, strengthen reporting capabilities, and implement best practices across the finance function. This is a hands-on role requiring both strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to drive process improvements from concept through implementation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance Systems & Process Improvement
- Review the current use of Xero and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.
- Optimize the Chart of Accounts, account mapping, coding structure, and reporting hierarchy.
- Implement best practices for account maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Review finance workflows and identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort.
- Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs), accounting guidelines, and process documentation.
Reconciliation & Controls
- Perform detailed reviews of receivables, payables, bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Establish robust reconciliation procedures and supporting documentation.
- Strengthen financial controls and improve governance over accounting records.
- Recommend practical solutions to improve data quality and reporting reliability.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Implement enhancements in the management reporting framework as directed by senior management to provide meaningful business insights.
- Develop reporting formats that improve visibility into business performance, costs, and operational trends.
- Recommend improvements to financial reporting processes to improve timeliness, consistency, and accuracy.
Project Management
- Prepare and execute a structured finance improvement roadmap.
- Prioritize key initiatives and monitor implementation progress.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information, validate findings, and implement agreed improvements.
- Support the finance team through process changes and knowledge transfer.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, finance transformation, or process improvement.
- Strong practical experience using Xero. Experience with other cloud accounting systems is an advantage.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, lookups, and financial analysis.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in the following areas will have an advantage:
- Finance transformation or accounting process improvement projects.
- Financial systems implementation or optimization.
- Financial reporting and business analysis.
- Reconciliation of complex balance sheet accounts.
- Professional services, consulting, outsourcing, or shared services environments.
- Power BI, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
- Documentation of finance processes and internal controls.

Candidates for remote positions are expected to have access to:

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
