Experience
7 –10 years of experience in stores and inventory management, with at least 3 - 5 years in a managerial role in the feed, FMCG, food processing, or manufacturing industry. Experience in an aqua feed mill is preferred.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering.
- MBA or Diploma in Materials Management is an added advantage.
- Any Degree with relevant experience can be considered
Job Purpose
To manage the overall stores operations by ensuring accurate receipt, storage, preservation, inventory control, and timely issue of raw materials, packaging materials, engineering spares, consumables, and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing losses, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Plan and manage all stores operations efficiently.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels for raw materials, additives, vitamins, packing materials, engineering spares, lubricants, and consumables.
- Ensure accurate stock records in ERP and physical inventory.
- Monitor inventory ageing and prevent deterioration or expiry of materials.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable.
Material Receipt & Storage
- Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders, invoices, and quality approvals.
- Ensure proper unloading, storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
- Coordinate with Quality for material acceptance and rejection.
- Maintain proper warehouse layout for efficient material movement.
Material Issue
- Ensure timely issue of materials to production, maintenance, and other departments.
- Monitor daily material consumption.
- Prevent unauthorized material issues.
Stock Control
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual stock verification.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Minimize inventory losses, damages, and wastage.
- Maintain high inventory accuracy.
ERP & Documentation
- Ensure timely posting of all inventory transactions in ERP.
- Maintain GRNs, issue slips, stock registers, transfer records, gate passes, and inventory reports.
- Prepare daily and monthly inventory MIS reports.
Team Management
- Supervise store officers, store keepers, and warehouse assistants.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Train employees on inventory procedures, safety, and warehouse best practices.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Procurement for material planning.
- Work closely with Production for uninterrupted material availability.
- Coordinate with Finance during inventory reconciliation and audits.
- Support Maintenance with engineering spare availability.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with GMP, 5S, warehouse safety standards, and company SOPs.
- Maintain housekeeping inside stores.
- Ensure safe storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Support internal and external audits.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
