Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemist – Pharmaceutical Testing to join our NABL-accredited testing laboratory. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in pharmaceutical analysis, operation of analytical instruments, method validation, and laboratory quality systems in accordance with NABL and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemical and instrumental analysis of pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, FTIR, Dissolution Tester, Karl Fischer Titrator, and other laboratory equipment.
- Conduct method development, method validation, and routine analytical testing in accordance with applicable pharmacopeial standards (IP, BP, USP, EP).
- Prepare, review, and maintain analytical reports, test records, and laboratory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NABL, ISO/IEC 17025, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and laboratory quality management systems.
- Participate in internal quality control, equipment calibration, and proficiency testing activities.
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results and implement corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely completion of testing and reporting.
Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Chemistry, or
- B.Pharm/M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or Pharmaceutics), or
- M.Pharm in a relevant specialization.
Experience
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in pharmaceutical testing within an NABL-accredited, GLP, or GMP-compliant laboratory.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, FTIR, Dissolution Tester, and other pharmaceutical analytical instruments.
- Experience with pharmacopeial testing (IP, BP, USP, EP) and method validation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, NABL requirements, and laboratory quality systems is preferred.
