Job Description:
Maintain OpenStack infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security Open stack SME
Expertise in OpenStack components, virtualization, networking, and Linux system administration.
Deploy, configure, and maintain OpenStack infrastructure to meet the organization's needs.
Monitor and optimize the performance of OpenStack services, including compute, storage, and networking.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenStack services, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
Good understanding of OpenStack components, including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, Keystone, and Glance.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Ansible, other automation frameworks to streamline deployment and management processes.
Integrate OpenStack services with other native components, such as storage systems, networking equipment, and identity management solutions.
Optimize the performance of OpenStack infrastructure, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring scalability as needed.
Experience with virtualization technologies (eg, KVM, QEMU) and containerization (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of networking concepts and experience with software-defined networking (SDN).
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate OpenStack with existing systems and applications.
Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
Perform regular backups, updates, and patches to keep OpenStack environments up to date and secure.
Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders.
Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM or VMware.
Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, including shell scripting and package management.
Experience with networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing.
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
