Job Title : Sales Executive
Location: India
Workplace Type: Remote
Job Summary
The Sales Executive at Welcome Wagon owns the full sales cycle — from self-sourced prospecting through negotiation and close — for a defined territory or vertical. This role requires a highly motivated, independent sales professional who is comfortable generating their own pipeline from scratch, running a consultative and often complex sales process with business owners and senior decision-makers, and closing without relying on inbound leads, SDR support, or a fixed script.
You will be a primary driver of new revenue for Welcome Wagon, responsible not just for activity, but for outcomes: qualified pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy, and closed revenue. Success in this role depends on your ability to think strategically about your territory, adapt your approach to each prospect rather than follow a fixed script, and manage a full and healthy pipeline independently in a competitive, quota-driven environment.
What you’ll do as a Sales Executive
Full-Cycle Pipeline Ownership
Independently source, build, and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities using outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and self-directed research (LinkedIn, industry databases, local market intelligence)
Own outreach strategy for your territory — no fixed script or centrally dictated call flow
Prioritize and sequence your own pipeline based on deal quality, fit, and revenue potential
Strategic Selling & Deal Execution
Run consultative discovery conversations with business owners and decision-makers to diagnose real business needs, not just pitch a standard package
Design and present tailored Welcome Wagon advertising solutions based on each client's goals, budget, and competitive landscape
Lead negotiation independently, structuring deals that balance client needs with company revenue and margin targets
Close new business without hand-off to another closer; you carry the deal from first contact to signed agreement
Account & Territory Management
Develop and execute a territory plan that identifies highest-potential accounts and verticals
Build durable relationships with clients that support upsell and referral opportunities beyond the initial sale
Partner with account management on a smooth handoff for closed business, ensuring context and expectations carry forward
Forecasting, Reporting & Collaboration
Maintain accurate, real-time pipeline and forecast data in CRM systems — owned by you, not audited into you
Provide reliable revenue forecasts based on your own pipeline analysis and deal probability assessment
Share market intelligence and competitive insights with sales leadership and cross-functional teams (marketing, account management, product)
Mentor newer or more junior sales team members informally as a seasoned voice on the team
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
(Starting draft for the working session — intended to be refined with Spencer and Chianti's input on what a strong hire is actually doing at each stage.)
Days 1–30: Ramped on Welcome Wagon's product, market positioning, and CRM/tools; has defined an initial territory or account list and begun independent outbound prospecting
Days 31–60: Running discovery and solution conversations independently; has built qualified pipeline coverage against quota and is moving multiple opportunities through active stages
Days 61–90: Closing first pieces of self-sourced new business independently; pipeline coverage and forecast are stable and reliable enough for sales leadership to plan against
What You Will Bring As A Sales Executive
4+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience required, including independently sourcing, running, and closing new business (not solely inbound or handed-off leads)
Demonstrated track record of building a pipeline from scratch and meeting or exceeding revenue quota with minimal oversight
Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills; comfortable adapting approach per prospect rather than following a fixed script
Confidence engaging and building credibility with business owners and senior decision-makers
Strong English proficiency (written and verbal); additional local-market language fluency as required by territory
Experience owning forecast accuracy and pipeline hygiene in a CRM, not just logging activity
Self-motivated and resilient in a competitive, metrics-driven, high-autonomy environment
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional sales experience
Core Competencies
Full-cycle ownership and self-direction
Consultative, complex selling
Resilience and intrinsic motivation
Strategic account and territory thinking
Cross-functional collaboration
Proven experience working with US based business teams.
Excellent written and communication skills in English language.
