1. JOB PURPOSE
The Consultant Dermatologist will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic treatments to Celestee patients.
The Dermatologist will independently evaluate patients, diagnose skin, hair and nail conditions, develop customized treatment plans, perform appropriate dermatological and aesthetic procedures, ensure patient safety and maintain the highest standards of medical ethics and patient care.
The role also requires the Dermatologist to contribute to Celestee’s reputation as a premium skin, hair and aesthetics centre through excellent clinical outcomes, patient counselling and professional conduct.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. Patient Consultation & Diagnosis
· Conduct comprehensive consultations and clinical examinations.
· Diagnose and manage skin, hair and nail conditions.
· Assess patients for acne, acne scars, pigmentation, melasma, ageing concerns, hair loss, scalp disorders, eczema, psoriasis, fungal infections and other dermatological conditions.
· Take detailed medical history and assess previous treatments and medications.
· Identify contraindications and determine the suitability of patients for various procedures.
· Develop individualized and evidence-based treatment plans.
· Explain diagnosis, treatment options, expected results, risks, limitations and alternatives clearly to patients.
B. Aesthetic & Cosmetic Dermatology
Perform or supervise aesthetic procedures based on qualification, training and clinical competency, including:
· Laser Hair Reduction
· Pigmentation and Skin Rejuvenation Treatments
· Chemical Peels
· Microneedling
· PRP / GFC treatments
· Acne and Acne Scar Treatments
· Skin Boosters
· Anti-ageing and Skin Tightening Procedures
· Botox and Dermal Fillers, where appropriately trained and credentialed
· Laser-based dermatological procedures
· Hair and scalp treatments
· Other advanced aesthetic procedures offered by Celestee
The Dermatologist must ensure that every procedure is performed only when clinically appropriate and in accordance with approved protocols.
C. Patient Safety & Clinical Standards
· Ensure proper patient assessment before every procedure.
· Obtain appropriate informed consent before procedures.
· Follow infection-control, sterilization and patient-safety protocols.
· Identify and manage adverse reactions or complications promptly.
· Provide clear pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions.
· Ensure appropriate follow-up of patients after procedures.
· Escalate serious complications or cases requiring specialist intervention to the Medical Director / appropriate specialist.
D. Patient Counselling & Experience
· Maintain a professional, empathetic and patient-centric approach.
· Set realistic expectations regarding treatment outcomes.
· Explain the number of sessions, expected downtime, possible risks and approximate treatment timelines.
· Avoid over-promising or guaranteeing results.
· Ensure patients understand treatment costs and inclusions through coordination with the counselling/front-office team.
· Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
· Handle patient concerns and complaints professionally.
E. Medical Documentation
· Maintain complete and accurate patient records.
· Document consultation findings, diagnosis, treatment plans, procedures, prescriptions and follow-ups.
· Ensure consent forms and procedure records are properly completed.
· Record before-and-after photographs wherever required and with appropriate patient consent.
· Ensure all medical documentation is updated promptly in the clinic’s designated system.
F. Coordination with Clinic Team
· Work closely with nurses, therapists, technicians, counsellors and front-office personnel.
· Provide appropriate clinical instructions to the treatment team.
· Ensure procedures are performed according to the Dermatologist’s prescribed protocol.
· Guide and train junior clinical staff on relevant dermatology and aesthetic procedures.
· Coordinate with the Clinic Manager regarding patient flow and clinical requirements.
· Participate in clinical meetings, audits and training programmes.
G. Professional Development
· Keep updated with advances in clinical dermatology, aesthetic medicine, lasers, injectables and emerging technologies.
· Attend relevant CME programmes, workshops and professional training.
· Maintain knowledge of evidence-based treatment protocols and safety standards.
· Share relevant clinical knowledge with the Celestee clinical team.
3. BUSINESS & ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support Celestee in building a strong reputation for ethical and high-quality dermatological care.
· Maintain excellent patient satisfaction and treatment outcomes.
· Contribute to patient retention through quality clinical care and appropriate follow-up.
· Work collaboratively with the counselling team while ensuring that all treatment recommendations remain medically appropriate and ethical.
· Support patient education initiatives, awareness programmes and clinical events when required.
· Represent Celestee professionally at all times.
Note: The Dermatologist shall not compromise clinical judgment or patient safety for commercial targets. Treatment recommendations must always be based on the patient’s medical and aesthetic requirements.
4. QUALIFICATION
Essential:
· MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
· MD / DNB / DDVL / DVD in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology or equivalent recognized qualification.
· Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.
Preferred:
· Experience in aesthetic dermatology.
· Fellowship / certification in aesthetic medicine, lasers, dermatosurgery or cosmetology.
· Hands-on experience with lasers, injectables, PRP/GFC, chemical peels and advanced aesthetic procedures.
Government guidance for dermatology/cosmetology clinics also recognizes MD/DNB/Diploma Dermatology qualifications and emphasizes appropriate specialist oversight for dermatological and cosmetic services.
5. EXPERIENCE
· Preferred: 2–5 years of experience in clinical and/or aesthetic dermatology.
· Freshers with strong clinical knowledge and appropriate qualifications may be considered based on Celestee’s requirements.
· Experience in a premium dermatology, aesthetic or cosmetology clinic will be an advantage.

8. WORKING STANDARDS
The Dermatologist is expected to:
· Maintain punctuality and adhere to scheduled consultation hours.
· Follow Celestee’s uniform/grooming and professional standards.
· Maintain patient confidentiality.
· Follow all applicable medical, ethical and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety within the consultation/procedure area.
· Use clinic equipment only within the scope of appropriate training and authorization.
· Maintain professional behaviour with patients, colleagues and management.
9. AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY
The Dermatologist will have clinical responsibility for:
· Patient assessment and diagnosis

· Prescription of medication

The Dermatologist will be accountable to the Medical Director / Clinic Head for adherence to clinical standards, patient safety, documentation and Celestee policies.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
