US Accounting Intern

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented US Accounting Intern to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of accounting experience who are interested in building a career in US Accounting and Bookkeeping.
The selected candidate will receive hands-on training and exposure to accounting processes followed by US-based organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day US Accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Assist with journal entries, invoice processing, and financial transactions.
- Perform basic bank and account reconciliations.
- Assist with maintaining accounting records, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Support month-end closing and documentation.
- Assist with expense tracking and resolving accounting discrepancies.
- Follow accounting procedures and internal controls.
Requirements
- B.Com / B.Com (Hons.) / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or pursuing a relevant Finance & Accounting qualification.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply; 6 months–1 year of relevant experience is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, AP/AR, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of Tally, QuickBooks, Xero, or ERP accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn US Accounting processes.
- Willingness to work in US night shifts.
Location Requirement
This is a 100% onsite position in Mohali. Candidates currently residing in Mohali, Chandigarh, Panchkula, Kharar, Zirakpur, or nearby areas who can commute to Mohali are preferred.
