Job Title: Dance Teacher (Primary & Middle School)
Location: Sanskriti International School, Kondapur Branch
Reports to: Cultural Coordinator / Principal
Job Purpose
To inspire students to express themselves through movement while building physical coordination, discipline, and aesthetic appreciation. The Dance Teacher will design a curriculum that introduces students to various dance forms, ranging from Indian Classical to Contemporary and Folk.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design: Develop a progressive dance syllabus that caters to different age groups (Foundational to Middle School).
- Instruction: Conduct high-energy classes teaching rhythm, posture, flexibility, and specific dance techniques.
- Choreography: Conceptualize and choreograph performances for school events, including Annual Days, Sports Days, Independence Day, and Inter-school competitions.
- Cultural Integration: Introduce students to the history and cultural significance of various Indian and International dance forms.
- Fitness & Wellness: Incorporate warm-up routines and stretching to ensure student safety and physical fitness.
- Production Management: Collaborate with the music and drama departments for musical theatre or themed productions, including managing costumes and props.
- Talent Identification: Identify and nurture students with exceptional talent for specialized training or external examinations.
