Key Responsibilities:
- Transcribe dictations from oncologists and other healthcare providers into written reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to medical standards.
- Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, spelling, and adherence to format and style guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with oncology staff to clarify documentation as needed and ensure completeness of patient records.
- Stay updated with advancements in oncology terminology and practices.
- Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and handle multiple transcription tasks.
Skills Required:
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology, specifically in oncology.
- Excellent listening and typing skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and transcription software.
