Job Title: Sales EngineerJob Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our technical solutions and customer needs by providing product expertise, preparing technical proposals, delivering product demonstrations, and supporting the sales team throughout the sales cycle. The Sales Engineer will work closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and business development teams to drive revenue growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products or technical solutions.
- Support the sales team during customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept sessions.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, tender documents, and solution designs.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers.
- Respond to customer technical queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and channel partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities.
- Support installation, commissioning, and training activities when required.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project updates in the CRM system.
- Achieve assigned sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or sales engineering (experience requirement may be adjusted based on the role).
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and site meetings.
