Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Fire & Safety Operations
Ensure smooth functioning of shift-wise Fire & Safety operations.
Maintain all fire-fighting equipment and systems in a ready-to-use condition at all times.
Conduct fire load assessments and drive upgradation of fire protection systems.
Monitor and actively reduce fire load within plant premises.
Ensure proper maintenance (AMC) and timely calibration of all fire safety equipment.
Compliance & Certifications
Ensure adherence to OHSAS/ISO standards and all applicable statutory safety regulations.
Manage licenses and statutory approvals related to fire and safety.
Liaise with external agencies such as Fire Department and regulatory bodies.
Risk Management & Safety Systems
Conduct risk assessments across operations to identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems for maintenance and operational activities.
Drive Management of Change (MoC) processes for any safety-impacting changes.
Develop and update Safety Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with best practices.
Incident Management & Reporting
Investigate incidents and accidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain MIS reports and provide regular updates to management on safety performance and risks.
Track and analyze safety KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
Training & Awareness
Build and manage a trained team of fire wardens/firefighters for emergency response.
Conduct periodic mock drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
Deliver safety induction and training programs for employees and contractor workforce.
Drive continuous awareness initiatives including Fire & Safety Week and campaigns.
Audits & Inspections
Carry out regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and statutory requirements.
Identify gaps and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Support project teams in installation and commissioning of advanced fire-fighting systems.
Partner with operations and maintenance teams to embed safety in daily activities.
Contribute to environmental and sustainability initiatives (energy, waste, water reduction).

Education Qualification
Graduate with Degree/ Diploma Certification in Fire and Safety from recognized university/ Institute.
Additional Safety ADIS Certified.
General Experience
5 - 8 years of experience in Fire Safety in Manufacturing or Warehouse Industries.
