Job Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and passionate Computer Science and Robotics Teacher to join our STEM faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire and equip students with computational thinking, programming, and engineering design skills. This teacher will lead engaging, hands-on instruction in computer science and robotics, using project-based learning and cutting-edge technologies to prepare students for a rapidly evolving digital world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging curriculum in computer science and robotics, aligned with state and national standards.
- Integrate robotics platforms such as LEGO® EV3, VEX, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar into coursework.
- Guide students through real-world projects, coding challenges, and robotics competitions.
- Create a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
- Stay current with technological trends and integrate new tools and methods into the classroom.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary STEM initiatives and programs.
- Support extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics teams, or hackathons.
- Maintain an organized and safe classroom and lab environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification (if applicable in your region/state).
- Proficiency in programming languages and robotics systems.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in STEM education or a related field.
- Experience teaching in a middle or high school setting.
- Teaching certification (if applicable in your region/state).
- Experience coaching students in robotics competitions.
