Key Responsibilities
- Bodyshop Operations
- Manage day-to-day bodyshop activities and ensure smooth workflow.
- Plan and allocate repair jobs to technicians based on workload and skill.
- Monitor vehicle movement from estimation to repair, painting, quality inspection, and delivery.
- Ensure jobs are completed within the committed delivery time.
- Job Estimation & Insurance
- Verify damage assessment and repair requirements.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, surveyors, customers, and service advisors.
- Ensure insurance documents, approvals, estimates, and job cards are properly maintained.
- Follow up on pending insurance approvals and parts.
- Quality Control
- Ensure proper repair, denting, painting, fitting, and finishing standards.
- Conduct regular inspection of repaired vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles are delivered without pending defects or rework.
- Maintain manufacturer/OEM quality standards.
- Manpower Management
- Supervise technicians, denters, painters, helpers, and other bodyshop staff.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline, and performance.
- Provide guidance and training to improve technical skills and productivity.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower and workshop facilities.
- Customer & Delivery Management
- Coordinate with the Service Advisor regarding customer requirements and delivery commitments.
- Handle bodyshop-related customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor delayed vehicles and take corrective action.
- Ensure vehicles are properly cleaned and ready before delivery.
- Parts & Material Control
- Coordinate with the Parts Department for required bodyshop parts.
- Monitor pending parts and avoid unnecessary vehicle delays.
- Control paint, consumables, tools, and other materials.
- Minimize wastage and ensure proper stock usage.
- Productivity & Cost Control
- Monitor technician productivity and job completion.
- Control rework, material wastage, and unnecessary expenses.
- Track bodyshop performance against targets.
- Improve bay utilization and overall workshop efficiency.
- Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the bodyshop.
- Ensure technicians use required PPE and safety equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.
- Reports & Documentation
- Maintain daily bodyshop work status.
- Monitor pending, completed, and delayed vehicles.
- Prepare productivity and performance reports.
- Ensure proper documentation of job cards, estimates, approvals, and delivery records.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
