Manage the Shift work in Quality Control Laboratory.
Ensure analysis is done as per SOP and that the results are accurate as well as reproducible.
Testing of Raw Material, In process, Finish Product, Effluent samples. Preparation and Standardization
of Test solutions
Review of Test results and reporting the status to the Production / Process. Ensure timely analysis of all
samples coming in for testing.
Calibration / standardization of Laboratory Instruments and Reagents, as per schedule. Recording the
data and maintaining records.
Use of Laboratory chemicals, glassware as per need and the disposal as per laid down guidelines.
Timely and accurate analysis of RM, In process, Finished Product, Effluent, etc. in safe manner.
Reporting of analysis result.
Handling of Glassware, Chemicals, Equipment’s / Instrument’s.
Coordinate with production / stores / maintenance / electrical department for day-to-day activities.
Ensure good housekeeping and adherence to safety norm in lab environment.
Follow IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) guidelines.
Aware of IMS Policy, QEHS Objectives, environmental aspects and OH&S hazards related to own area
of work and also the available control measures against it.
Approve / Reject, Raw material, In process, Finished Product, Effluent.
Maintain good housekeeping in the lab.
Follow the Emergency preparedness plan in case of emergency.
Desired Skill Set Good working knowledge of various analytical techniques. Knowledge of underlying techniques and
principles of various laboratory equipment’s including ICP.
Good working knowledge of Quality procedures and related documentation.
Good organizational & departmental (shift) planning skills.
Ability to analyze situations and recommend / implement solutions, wherever necessary.
Reasonably good written and verbal communications
