- Machine Setup & Operation: Install and align tools, fixtures, and workpieces on VMC machines according to technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Production & Monitoring: Run, load, and monitor VMC machines during production to ensure efficiency and precision.
- Quality Control: Conduct first-piece inspections and regular checks on finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, cleaning) and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or tool wear.
- Programming: Load and edit existing CNC programs (G-code/M-code).
- Documentation: Maintain records of production output, setup details, and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 0–3 years of experience as a CNC or VMC Operator (fresher or experienced).
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent vocational training.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of tool selection, offsets.
- Competencies: Strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a 6-day work week with rotational shifts
