About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to lead the development of our proprietary hospitality technology platform. This is an opportunity to build core products from the ground up that will power hotel operations across multiple properties. You will work closely with the founders to architect and develop scalable, enterprise-grade software that includes modules such as Property Management Systems (PMS), Revenue Management Systems (RMS), Channel Manager integrations, CRM, POS integrations, and other hospitality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
* Design, architect, and develop scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
* Build and maintain our proprietary hospitality software platform.
* Develop secure, high-performance REST APIs and microservices.
* Design robust database architecture and optimize application performance.
* Integrate with third-party hospitality systems, payment gateways, OTAs, channel managers, and other APIs.
* Work closely with product and leadership teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
* Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
* Ensure software quality through testing, documentation, and best engineering practices.
* Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and security.
Required Skills
* 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
* Strong expertise in Java (17+), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA.
* Experience building enterprise-grade applications using microservices architecture.
* Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and API design.
* Proficiency in PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
* Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and CI/CD workflows.
* Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design.
* Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
* Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices.
* Experience working on hospitality technology products such as PMS, CRS, RMS, POS, CRM, Channel Managers, Booking Engines, or hotel operations software is a strong advantage.
* Previous experience in SaaS or product-based companies.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
