Agonda Palm Beach Resort is looking for an experienced Bartender to join our beachfront restaurant and bar, The Rolling Sea, for our upcoming tourist season.
Important – Seasonal Position
This is a seasonal hospitality position and not a year-round job.
Our resort operates during Goa's tourist season, generally from September/October until the end of May or beginning of June. The resort closes during the monsoon period and reopens for the following season.
We are therefore looking for candidates who are comfortable working on a seasonal contract and, ideally, would be interested in returning to work with us for future seasons based on performance and mutual agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails and other beverages
- Good knowledge of whisky, gin, vodka, rum, tequila, beer and wine
- Prepare classic and popular cocktails consistently
- Maintain proper bar setup and mise-en-place
- Maintain beverage stock and assist with daily/monthly inventory
- Control wastage, breakage and beverage portions
- Follow standard recipes and pouring measures
- Maintain bar cleanliness and hygiene
- Check stock levels and expiry dates
- Coordinate with restaurant servers and kitchen staff
- Recommend cocktails and beverages to guests
- Handle POS/billing where required
- Assist the service team during busy periods
- Maintain professional and friendly guest service
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience preferred
- Good cocktail and beverage knowledge
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi
- Well-groomed and professional
- Friendly and confident with guests
- Honest and responsible with bar stock
- Able to handle busy service periods
- Comfortable working as part of a small, hands-on team
- Previous hotel, resort, restaurant, beach club or cocktail bar experience preferred
