The Assistant Manager – Human Resources will be responsible for managing and coordinating Human Resource functions across the organization's warehouse, distribution, and corporate locations. The role will act as a strategic HR partner to Operations, Contract Logistics, and Business Heads by ensuring timely manpower availability, employee engagement, policy implementation, statutory compliance, and smooth HR operations across multiple locations.
The incumbent will play a key role in supporting business expansion, warehouse start-ups, client onboarding projects, workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development initiatives while ensuring alignment with corporate HR policies and operational requirements.
The role will also liason with Internal (Operations, Contract Logistics, Warehouse Managers, Finance & Accounts, Administration, Corporate HR, Business Development) & External (Recruitment Agencies, Labour Contractors, Government Authorities, Training Providers, Consultants, Statutory Authorities).
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
- Coordinate with the Corporate HR team for implementation of HR policies, procedures, and organizational initiatives.
- Ensure consistent HR practices across all warehouse and branch locations.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, personal files, and HRIS data with complete accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare HR MIS reports, manpower reports, attrition analysis, recruitment dashboards, absenteeism reports, and other management reports.
Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Coordinate manpower planning with Operations, Warehouse Managers, and Business Heads.
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for warehouse staff, supervisors, executives, and support functions.
- Coordinate recruitment during new warehouse setups, customer onboarding, seasonal business peaks, and expansion projects.
- Ensure timely deployment of manpower to meet operational requirements.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical logistics positions.
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Serve as the primary HR contact for warehouse employees across multiple locations.
- Handle employee grievances and workplace issues professionally and confidentially.
- Conduct counseling sessions and resolve conflicts between employees, supervisors, and operational teams.
- Support disciplinary proceedings, domestic enquiries, corrective actions, and employee counseling.
- Promote positive employee relations and maintain a healthy work environment.
Performance & Employee Development
- Coordinate employee induction and orientation programs.
- Monitor probation, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and separation processes.
- Support performance management and appraisal cycles.
- Identify training requirements and coordinate learning and development initiatives.
Drive employee engagement and retention programs.
Attendance & Workforce Management
- Monitor attendance, leave management, shift allocation, overtime, and workforce utilization.
- Coordinate with Operations for manpower optimization and productivity improvement.
- Ensure accurate attendance and payroll inputs are submitted within timelines.
Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate with statutory compliance teams to ensure compliance with:
- Labour Laws, EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments Act
- Other applicable labour legislations etc
- Support internal and external audits relating to HR and labour compliance.
Business Support
- Act as the HR coordinator during:
- New client onboarding, Warehouse commissioning, Business expansion, New project implementation, Peak season manpower deployment
- Work closely with Operations, Contract Logistics, Finance, and Administration to ensure uninterrupted business support.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain HRIS/ERP data accurately.
- Generate periodic HR analytics and reports for management review.
- Monitor employee turnover, recruitment metrics, absenteeism, and productivity indicators.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance HR efficiency.
Employee Welfare
- Coordinate employee welfare programs and engagement activities.
- Conduct employee feedback sessions and exit interviews.
- Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with company values.

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA / MSW / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 5–8 years of relevant HR experience.
- Candidates of age between 30 -45 years
- Experience in 3PL Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail Distribution, or E-commerce logistics preferred.
- Experience handling multi-location HR operations and high-volume recruitment will be an added advantage.
- Adept in English, Hindi, Malayalam.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
