Job Summary
Sree Gokulam Speed and Safe Courier Service Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Sorting Executive to manage parcel sorting operations at the Erode branch. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of courier industry experience and possess excellent knowledge of courier hub operations, shipment routing, and dispatch procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Sort inbound and outbound courier shipments based on destination, route, and delivery schedules.
- Verify shipment labels, airway bills, manifests, and barcode information for accuracy.
- Ensure parcels are sorted and dispatched within the scheduled timelines.
- Coordinate with booking, dispatch, delivery, and hub teams for smooth parcel movement.
- Identify and segregate damaged, missing, or misrouted consignments and report them immediately.
- Assist in loading and unloading courier shipments safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of sorting activities and daily operational reports.
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Ensure the sorting area is clean, organized, and free from operational hazards.
- Monitor parcel flow to minimize delays and improve operational efficiency.
- Train and support junior staff whenever required.
- Handle high shipment volumes while maintaining speed and accuracy.
- Report operational issues to the Hub Manager and assist in resolving them promptly.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the courier/logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of courier sorting and dispatch operations
- Good understanding of shipment routing and hub processes
- Attention to detail and high accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer knowledge for shipment tracking and reporting
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
