Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and passionate Business Development Executive to join our growth team. In this role, you will be the face of the company, bridging the gap between educational institutions and our experiential travel programs. You will be responsible for the entire sales lifecycle—from identifying potential institutions and meeting key decision-makers to converting leads into memorable travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential educational institutions (schools, colleges, universities, and coaching institutes) to build a robust sales pipeline.
- B2B Client Meetings: Schedule and conduct in-person and virtual meetings with key decision-makers, including School Principals, Directors, Deans, and HODs.
- Pitching & Presentation: Deliver compelling presentations that highlight the educational and experiential value of our travel itineraries.
- Sales Conversion: Effectively negotiate and convert prospective leads into confirmed bookings, ensuring monthly and quarterly sales targets are met.
- Itinerary Customization: Work closely with the operations team to customize travel packages based on the specific academic requirements and budgets of clients.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with existing institutional clients to secure repeat business and referrals.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and educational curriculum shifts to identify new business opportunities.
- Team Coordination: Work with cross functional teams to ensure the client deliverables are met .Also work closely in coordination with the management to understand the goals of the organization and also help in the growth of the product and services
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Travel & Tourism Management, Business Administration (MBA/BBA), or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in business development, field sales, or corporate sales (B2B).Experience in the educational sales (EdTech/Edu-Travel) sector or high-end hospitality sales is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and persuade senior educators and management.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of handling the complete sales funnel, from cold calling/knocking to closing deals.
- Relationship Building: High emotional intelligence with an innate ability to build rapport quickly with institutional heads.
- Resilience & Agility: A self-starter attitude with the ability to handle rejection positively and thrive in a target-driven environment.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively locally and regionally for client meetings and institutional presentations.
