Responsible for performing pulmonary function tests accurately and safely, assisting physicians in respiratory diagnostics, maintaining equipment, and ensuring proper patient care and documentation.
- Perform Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) including Spirometry, Lung Volume and Diffusion Capacity tests as per clinical requirements.
- Prepare patients, explain test procedures, and ensure proper positioning and cooperation during testing.
- Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain PFT equipment as per manufacturer and hospital protocols.
- Ensure accurate recording, validation, and documentation of test results for physician interpretation.
- Perform pre- and post-bronchodilator testing as instructed by the physician.
- Monitor patients during procedures and promptly report any abnormal symptoms or clinical observations.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, biomedical waste management, and hospital quality standards.
- Maintain daily records, equipment logs, quality-control records, and test reports.
- Coordinate with Pulmonologists, Respiratory Therapists, Nurses, and other diagnostic departments.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information and maintain professional patient communication.
1–3 years of experience in PFT / Pulmonology / Respiratory Diagnostics preferred. Freshers with relevant qualification may also be considered.
