Position Overview
SR Group of Institutions, Jhansi, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Professor in Computer Applications with strong hands-on expertise in Python programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate instruction, mentoring students in technical projects, and actively contributing to academic research and departmental activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Instruction: Teach courses in Computer Applications (BCA/MCA/B.Tech) with a core focus on Python Programming, Data Structures, Web Development, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Curriculum & Practical Training: Design engaging lab sessions, practical assignments, and coding assessments centered around Python libraries and real-world applications.
- Student Mentorship: Supervise student major/minor projects, guide mini-projects using Python, and mentor students for hackathons and technical competitions.
- Research & Development: Conduct independent research, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals, and encourage student participation in research initiatives.
- Departmental Support: Assist in NBA/NAAC accreditation documentation, departmental events, industrial visits, workshops, and administrative tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications & SkillsRequirement CategoryDescriptionEducation QualificationMaster’s Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) or M.Tech in Computer Science / IT with first class (Ph.D. completed or pursuing is preferred).Core Technical SkillsProficiency in Python (Core & Advanced), Data Structures & Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), and frameworks like Django/Flask or Pandas/NumPy.Secondary Technical SkillsWorking knowledge of SQL/Database Management Systems, Software Engineering principles, and Web Technologies.Experience0 to 5 years of teaching or industrial experience. Fresh postgraduates with exceptional technical and communication skills are welcome to apply.Soft SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, effective classroom management, and a passion for student-centric mentoring.
Pay: ₹18,061.27 - ₹28,658.30 per month
