K9V Tech is looking for an experienced Solution Architect – Data & Analytics to lead the end-to-end technical architecture of enterprise-scale data platform engagements built on Azure Databricks.
The role involves designing and governing an enterprise Lakehouse platform integrating ERP and SaaS source systems into a governed Delta Lakehouse, with a well-designed Gold layer and platform-level semantic layer.
This is a hands-on architecture position. The successful candidate will be responsible for making key technical decisions, designing the data model and semantic layer, establishing governance standards, and providing technical sign-off across engineering deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture for enterprise data platform engagements on Azure Databricks.
- Design scalable Lakehouse architecture using Medallion Architecture.
- Design Bronze, Silver and Gold layers using Delta Lake.
- Design Gold-layer star schemas and conformed dimensions.
- Architect enterprise data governance using Unity Catalog.
- Define RBAC, row-level security, column masking and data lineage.
- Design the platform-level semantic layer using Databricks Metric Views or equivalent.
- Establish and govern Source-to-Target Mapping (S2T).
- Design a decoupled, source-agnostic Silver layer.
- Define data reconciliation and data-quality approaches.
- Ensure data outputs can be reconciled against source-system reports within defined variance tolerances.
- Provide technical leadership during design reviews and steering forums.
- Work closely with engineering, BI and business stakeholders.
- Provide architecture sign-off across delivery phases.
Mandatory Skills
- 10–16 years of overall experience.
- 4+ years of experience in an architecture role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks at enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of Databricks Lakehouse Architecture.
- Expertise in Medallion Architecture – Bronze / Silver / Gold.
- Strong experience with Delta Lake.
- Strong knowledge of Unity Catalog, including:
- RBAC
- Row-level security
- Column-level masking
- Data lineage
- Strong data modelling experience.
- Expertise in dimensional modelling and star schemas.
- Experience with conformed dimensions.
- Experience designing semantic layers.
- Experience with Source-to-Target Mapping.
- Experience designing source-agnostic / decoupled data layers.
- Working knowledge of ERP data models, preferably SAP.
- Understanding of procurement, finance or supply-chain data.
- Strong data reconciliation and data-quality experience.
- Ability to act as a technical authority with senior stakeholders.
Good to Have
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or equivalent certification.
- SAP Datasphere / SAP BDC / SAP SLT exposure.
- Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2).
- Azure Key Vault.
- Power BI semantic model awareness.
- Pre-sales / solutioning experience.
