Business Development Data & Outreach Specialist
About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven, data-obsessed Business Development Data & Outreach Specialist to own our entire outbound and inbound pipeline from scratch. This is a 1-person powerhouse role — you will be responsible for finding the right prospects, building automated outreach systems, and converting cold contacts into booked meetings that fuel our sales engine.
This is not a traditional SDR role. You will be expected to operate like a growth hacker — combining data scraping, automation, copywriting, and analytics to consistently deliver 75–100 qualified booked meetings per month.
The Core Mission
Own the full outbound and inbound lead generation funnel — from raw data to revenue-ready pipeline — using automation, smart targeting, and compelling outreach.

Booked Meetings: 75–100 per month (non-negotiable baseline)
Email Delivery Rate: > 95%
Email Open Rate: > 40%
Reply Rate: > 8–12%
Opportunities Created: Minimum 20–25 qualified opportunities per month
LinkedIn Connection Acceptance Rate: > 30%
Data Accuracy: > 90% verified contact data
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Scraping & Prospect Research
- Scrape, source, and build high-quality prospect lists using tools like Apollo, Clay, Hunter.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Phantombuster, Apify, or similar.
- Identify and filter the most relevant ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) contacts based on industry, company size, job title, intent signals, and other parameters.
- Enrich and verify contact data to maintain high deliverability and accuracy standards.
- Continuously refresh and expand the database with new, clean leads.
2. Automated Email Sequencing & Outreach
- Set up, manage, and optimise multi-step cold email sequences using tools such as Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, Outreach, or Salesloft.
- Write high-converting email copies — subject lines, opening lines, CTAs — that are personalised, relevant, and tested via A/B splits.
- Manage sending infrastructure: warm up domains, monitor sender reputation, maintain healthy sending volumes, and maximise inbox delivery.
- Monitor and optimise sequence performance: open rates, reply rates, bounce rates, and unsubscribes.
3. LinkedIn Outreach & Automation
- Run automated and semi-automated LinkedIn outreach campaigns using tools like Dripify, Expandi, Waalaxy, or similar.
- Draft compelling connection requests and follow-up message sequences that spark real conversations.
- Manage and respond to LinkedIn replies in a timely, personalised manner to push prospects toward a booked meeting.
4. Booking Meetings & Pipeline Management
- Actively manage all outreach responses and take ownership of converting replies into booked calendar meetings for the sales team.
- Handle objections over email and LinkedIn to keep prospects engaged.
- Update CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive, or Salesforce) with all activity, statuses, and notes in real time.
- Ensure the sales team receives fully qualified, context-rich meeting briefs before every call.
5. Inbound Lead Optimisation
- Work with marketing to capture, qualify, and route inbound leads efficiently.
- Set up automation for inbound lead nurturing sequences to speed up response times.
- Ensure zero lead leakage — every inbound inquiry is followed up, tracked, and actioned.
6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain a live dashboard tracking all outbound metrics: emails sent, open rates, reply rates, meetings booked, opportunities created.
- Run regular A/B tests on subject lines, messaging angles, CTAs, and targeting criteria.
- Share weekly performance reports with leadership, highlighting wins, blockers, and optimisation plans.
- Stay ahead of industry changes (email deliverability updates, LinkedIn algorithm shifts, etc.) and adapt strategies accordingly.

Qualifications & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in an outbound sales, growth hacking, lead generation, or similar role.
- Proven track record of booking high volumes of meetings through cold email and LinkedIn outreach.
- Hands-on experience with at least 2–3 of the tools listed in the tech stack above.
- Strong understanding of email deliverability, domain health, and inbox placement best practices.
- Excellent written communication skills in English — concise, compelling, and conversion-focused.
- Experience with CRM management and pipeline hygiene.
- Bonus: Experience with Clay, AI-personalisation workflows, or webhook/API-based automation.
