Project Estimator-cum-Engineer (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / MEP)
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Project Estimator-cum-Engineer to support our growing commercial, healthcare, government, and public works construction operations.
This is a hybrid role that combines construction estimating, bid coordination, engineering support, and project coordination. The selected candidate will work closely with our estimating team, project managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to support projects from opportunity identification through bidding, pre-construction, execution support, and project closeout.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy both technical and management responsibilities and wish to build a long-term career in construction management.
Civil Engineers and MEP (Construction) Engineers are all encouraged to apply.
Position Details

Monday to Friday
8:00 PM – 5:00 AM (Night Shift)
Remote work with mandatory attendance during scheduled working hours.
Primary Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the complete pre-construction and engineering workflow.
A. Bid Management & Opportunity Identification
- Monitor various public and private bidding portals to identify project opportunities.
- Review invitations to bid and determine project suitability.
- Analyze project requirements including:
- Scope of Work
- Technical requirements
- Contract requirements
- Licensing requirements
- Bonding requirements
- Insurance requirements
- Certifications
- Compliance requirements
- Evaluate company eligibility for each opportunity.
- Develop bidding strategies with management.
- Maintain bid calendars and submission schedules.
- Track bid deadlines and addenda.
- Maintain bid opportunity databases.
B. Estimating & Quantity Take-Off Support
- Review construction drawings and specifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs.
- Prepare material quantity estimates.
- Assist with labor and equipment estimates.
- Obtain vendor pricing.
- Coordinate subcontractor pricing.
- Compare quotations.
- Review estimate completeness.
- Assist senior estimators in preparing competitive pricing.
- Maintain estimating spreadsheets and cost databases.
C. Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination
- Prepare and issue RFQs.
- Source new subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prequalify subcontractors.
- Maintain subcontractor database.
- Coordinate scope coverage.
- Follow up on pending quotations.
- Clarify scope exclusions.
- Compare bids for completeness.
- Assist in leveling subcontractor proposals.
D. Proposal & Bid Submission
- Prepare complete proposal packages.
- Assemble required bid forms.
- Complete compliance documentation.
- Prepare technical proposal documents.
- Prepare commercial proposal documents.
- Verify submission requirements.
- Ensure all required attachments are included.
- Upload submissions to online portals.
- Ensure bids are submitted accurately before deadlines.
E. Drawing, Specification & Contract Review
- Read and interpret:
- Architectural drawings
- Structural drawings
- Civil drawings
- Mechanical drawings
- Electrical drawings
- Plumbing drawings
- Fire Protection drawings
- Safety drawings
- Review technical specifications.
- Review contract documents.
- Review general conditions.
- Review supplementary conditions.
- Review project manuals.
- Identify scope gaps.
- Identify conflicts in drawings.
- Raise clarification requests when necessary.
F. RFIs & Technical Coordination
- Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Coordinate responses with clients.
- Coordinate consultants.
- Coordinate architects.
- Coordinate engineers.
- Track pending RFIs.
- Maintain RFI logs.
G. Engineering & Project Management Support
The selected candidate will provide technical and administrative support to Project Managers throughout project execution.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination.
- Review project documentation for completeness.
- Verify technical submittals prior to submission.
- Review shop drawings.
- Review material submittals.
- Verify compliance with specifications.
- Assist in preparing construction documentation.
- Coordinate engineering deliverables.
- Track engineering approvals.
- Assist with project scheduling.
- Support procurement activities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors during execution.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Assist with project closeout documentation.
H. Site Coordination Support
Although this is a remote role, the selected candidate should possess sufficient construction knowledge to effectively support field activities. Email subject should be “Application for Estimator/Engineer”.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with site visit planning.
- Review field reports.
- Provide technical guidance to field personnel.
- Review installation photographs.
- Assist in resolving field issues.
- Coordinate between field teams and office staff.
- Track site progress.

- Monitor project milestones.

Prepare, review, verify, or assist with project documentation including:
- Method of Procedures (MOPs)

J. Invoicing & Project Tracking
- Assist with project invoicing.
- Track invoice status.
- Track project costs.

- Coordinate with accounting when required.
- Maintain project financial records.
- Track purchase orders.
- Track subcontractor invoices.
K. Internal Coordination

L. Subject Matter Expertise

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or MEP-related discipline.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret construction contracts.

- Understanding of RFQs, RFIs, bidding processes, and subcontractor coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
