JOB DESCRIPTION – NURSING STAFF
Department: Nursing
Reporting To: Nursing In-Charge / Duty Doctor
Employment: Full-Time / Shift Duty
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate and quality nursing care to all patients, especially newborns and pediatric patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake-output and patient condition regularly.
- Administer medicines, IV fluids, injections and treatments strictly as prescribed.
- Follow doctors’ orders and immediately report any change or deterioration in patient condition.
- Maintain accurate nursing notes, medication charts, vital charts and other patient records.
- Follow infection-control, hand hygiene, biomedical waste and patient-safety protocols.
- Assist doctors during emergency procedures, CPR, procedures, OT and other clinical activities as assigned.
- Ensure proper care of IV lines, catheters, tubes, ventilators and other medical devices as applicable.
- Maintain proper shift handover and ensure no patient is left unattended.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and professional behaviour with patients, attendants and staff.
- Check and maintain nursing equipment, emergency trolley and required consumables.
- Report medication errors, incidents, equipment failure and other safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain punctuality, discipline, proper uniform and ID card during duty.
- Attend mandatory hospital training and comply with all hospital SOPs and policies.
- Do not use mobile phones unnecessarily during duty hours and do not photograph/share patient information without authorization.
Accountability
The Nursing Staff shall be responsible for the duties assigned during their shift and shall be accountable for patient safety, proper documentation, timely treatment implementation and compliance with hospital policies.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
