Job Summary
Medline India is looking for a talented QA Delivery Manager with strong leadership and strategic oversight of the entire QA delivery process. This role requires not only a deep understanding of quality assurance but also an aptitude for project management, customer communication, and aligning QA efforts with broader eCommerce business goals.
The QA Delivery Manager oversees the end-to-end quality assurance strategy and delivery for eCommerce platforms and related applications. This role leads, mentors, and manages QA teams, sets quality standards, and drives continuous process improvement to ensure high-quality, seamless, and performant online experiences for customers. The ideal candidate blends technical QA proficiency with robust project management and stakeholder communication skills to deliver a superior final product on time and within budget.
Job Description
QA Delivery Manager
Responsibilities:
QA strategy and process management
- Develop and execute comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and roadmaps for various eCommerce features and projects
- Oversee the implementation of testing tools, processes, and best practices for both manual and automated testing across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Establish quality standards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and quality metrics, and regularly monitor, analyze, and report on them to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to product quality and project delivery.
Leadership and team management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of QA engineers and testers, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and workload for testing initiatives, ensuring optimal team performance and timely delivery.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support the career development of team members.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new QA staff.
Project delivery and coordination
- Ensure the smooth coordination of QA activities with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and business stakeholders, to align testing requirements with business needs.
- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to post-release analysis.
- Manage defect lifecycles, ensuring issues are properly tracked, prioritized, and resolved.
- Provide clear and timely communication on project status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for quality-related concerns.
Work Experience:
- 14 to 20 years of IT QA work experience including 8 +years’ experience as QA delivery manager
Required Skills:
Technical QA oversight (eCommerce focus)
- Guide and oversee front end and backend testing for eCommerce systems, including inventory, order processing, and payment gateways.
- Ensure rigorous testing of all customer-facing eCommerce touchpoints, such as site search, product listings, and the checkout process.
- Lead the automation of testing for key eCommerce workflows, utilizing tools like Selenium, Katlon, or Postman.
- Stay updated on the latest eCommerce trends, QA methodologies, and testing technologies to proactively recommend and implement improvements.
- Ability to provide vision, direction in terms of people , process , program and technology best practices, estimation, efficiencies and productivity improvements.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking
- Proven experience working on high-traffic, transactional eCommerce platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum and other software development methodologies.
- Nice to have Devops technology skills
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field Or equivalent work experience
