We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our team in Mohali. You will identify, bid on, and win web development, app development, and design projects through freelance platforms like Upwork, Guru, and Freelancer.
Responsibilities
- Monitor freelance platforms and identify relevant project opportunities
- Write clear, persuasive, and customized proposals that address client needs
- Bid strategically on web development, front-end, app development, and design projects
- Communicate with potential clients to understand requirements and build rapport
- Negotiate project terms, scope, and pricing to close profitable deals
- Maintain and optimize company profiles on bidding platforms
- Track bidding performance and refine strategies based on win/loss patterns
- Coordinate with the technical team to ensure accurate project scoping
Requirements
- 1–3 years of proven experience bidding on Upwork, Guru, or similar freelance platforms for IT/technical projects
- Strong understanding of web development, app development, and design services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write compelling, client-focused proposals quickly
- Good negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals
- Self-motivated and target-driven with the ability to work independently
- Basic technical knowledge to understand project requirements and scope accurately
Good to Have
- MBA or background in Business, Marketing, or IT
- Existing network or established profile on Upwork or similar platforms
- Experience with CRM tools and lead tracking systems
- Familiarity with pricing strategies and competitor analysis
