Your responsibilities
You take over the lead of commercial project execution in our EPF- and EPC-business with project volumes of € 50 Mio up to billions of EUR including consortium model. The close cooperation and coordination with the business units and functions like project management, engineering facilities, procurement and construction sites worldwide is part of your daily business. You also interact with potential consortium partners. Your responsibilities extend to the following:
- Ensure successful project execution together with technical PM of large EPF and EPC projects according to thyssenkrupp Nucera standards and governance – from ITB to end of warranty period – by meeting the defined project´s targets
- Negotiate on worldwide basis contractual and cost issues with the client and major subcontractors
- Ensure that the right capability of commercial support is available within the project team together with the Business Units
- Responsible for commercial activities (e.g. contract-, claim- and risk- management, payment securities, VAT/TAX issues, insurance, etc.) in both proposal phase and contract execution
- Coordination and alignment with consortium partners
- Ensure that the commercial reporting including profitability is timely issued within the defined distribution team with variance vis-à-vis budget
- Ensuring the timely billing and collection from the customer. Responsible for working capital management of the assigned projects vis-à-vis budget and its variance reporting
- Driving the risk management for the assigned projects along with the project manager
Your profile
Professional Experience
- At least 10 years of professional experience in negotiating and executing international EPF and EPC contracts of mechanical and plant engineering projects in the process or chemical industry with volumes up to hundreds-of-million Euro as Senior Commercial Project Manager including consortium nature of contracts
- University degree in business administration, CA, or ICWA
- Proven records of leading an international team – respective intercultural awareness and ability to leverage cultural differences
- Experience in establishing complex contract scenarios and respective profound knowledge in contract law
- Drive and able to work under high pressure while still meeting highest level of results
- Excellent English language skills (additional language is an advantage)
