Job Title: Medical Coder – US Healthcare
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coder to join our US Healthcare Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and accurately assigning CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes while ensuring compliance with payer and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient medical records and provider documentation for accurate code assignment
- Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes based on medical documentation
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with US Healthcare regulations and payer guidelines
- Identify coding discrepancies and communicate with providers or internal teams for clarification
- Maintain productivity and quality standards as per company requirements
- Assist in denial analysis and coding-related claim corrections
- Stay updated with coding changes, payer policies, and industry standards
- Work closely with billing, AR, and provider teams to ensure smooth claim processing
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with US Healthcare insurance and payer guidelines
- Experience using EMR/EHR systems and coding software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Medical Coding
- Experience in US Healthcare/RCM industry preferred
- CPC, CCS, COC, or equivalent certification preferred
- Ability to work in US shift/night shift environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in multi-specialty coding
- Prior experience in healthcare BPO or RCM operations
- Ability to work independently and meet productivity targets
