1. Drawing Preparation & Design
- Develop detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings using tools like AutoCAD.
- Prepare layouts for:
- Plumbing systems (water supply, process water, etc.)
- Drainage & ETP disposal systems
- Roof drainage systems (RWP, down-take pipes, etc.)
- Convert design concepts and calculations into accurate technical drawings.
2. Coordination with Design Teams
- Coordinate with architectural and structural drawings to ensure clash-free layouts.
- Integrate services like:
- Pump rooms
- STP / WTP layouts
- Shaft planning across floors
- Address coordination issues (e.g., missing shaft space, beam conflicts).
3. Drawing Review & Validation
- Review vendor drawings and data sheets such as:
- Pumps (e.g., KSB AGRIBLOC)
- Valves and piping systems
- Resin and treatment systems
- Ensure compliance with design basis reports (DBR) and project specifications.
- Identify missing information and raise technical observations.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare:
- Design review reports
- As-built drawings
- Annexures with pipe sizes, layouts, and calculations
- Maintain proper documentation for client submissions and approvals.
5. Revision & Updates
- Update drawings based on:
- Client comments
- Site conditions
- Design changes
- Manage version control and ensure latest drawings are issued.
6. Standards & Compliance
- Follow applicable standards and codes for MEP systems.
- Ensure drawings meet industry practices and project-specific guidelines.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D)
- Understanding of MEP systems (Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, HVAC basics)
- Ability to read architectural & structural drawings
- Knowledge of piping layouts, slopes, pipe sizing
- Attention to detail and coordination skills
