Job Responsibility – QC Chemist
Position: QC Chemist
Department: Quality Control
Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Sc (Chemistry or related field)
Experience: More than 1 year in Pharmaceutical Quality Control
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples according to approved specifications and test methods.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV Spectrophotometer, Dissolution Apparatus, pH Meter, and Balance.
- Prepare and standardize volumetric solutions, reagents, and test solutions as per SOPs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of analytical data, laboratory records, logbooks, and reports in compliance with GMP/GLP requirements.
- Review analytical results and report any Out of Specification (OOS) or abnormal findings to the supervisor.
- Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements during all laboratory activities.
- Support method validation, method transfer, and stability studies when required.
- Coordinate with Production and QA departments for sample collection and testing activities.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the laboratory area.
- Participate in internal audits, investigations, and corrective/preventive action activities.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards including WHO-GMP, USFDA, and other applicable guidelines.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical analytical techniques and laboratory practices.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and documentation practices.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with laboratory documentation systems.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidate should have hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory.
- Strong understanding of analytical instruments and troubleshooting basics.
- Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
