Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for machining operations. The candidate should have strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling selection, machining processes, and drawing interpretation to ensure high-quality production with maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and machining centers.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Conduct first-piece inspections and validate CNC programs before production.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize cycle times and improve productivity while maintaining quality standards.
- Support production teams in machine setup and process improvements.
- Monitor tool life and recommend tooling improvements.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
- Maintain program backups and machining documentation.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CNC Programming (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mitsubishi, etc.).
- Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming.
- Experience with CNC Milling, Turning, VMC, and HMC machines.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool paths, and machining strategies.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, NX CAM, PowerMill, or Fusion 360.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of quality inspection instruments and methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in precision machining and manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices.
