Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform . The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure, enabling CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring reliable and secure deployments across environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform .
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources.
Collaborate closely with development, QA, and security teams to support application lifecycle.
Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE) .
Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and cost optimization of cloud infrastructure.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using GCP‑native and third‑party tools.
Enforce security standards, IAM policies, and compliance requirements.
Perform regular system upgrades and patch management.
Mandatory Technical Skills
Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as:
Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Monitoring & Logging
Proven experience with Terraform (modules, state management, remote backends).
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build).
Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems .
Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Bash .
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers).
Good to Have Skills
Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools .
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices .
Experience with cost optimization and FinOps on GCP .
Exposure to multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud environments .
GCP certifications (Associate or Professional) are a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the design and development of scalable applications on google cloud platform.
2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define technical solutions and architecture for gcp projects.
3. Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and provide technical guidance to the development team.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to gcp application development.
5. Stay updated on the latest gcp services, features, and best practices to optimize application performance.
6. Implement security measures and compliance standards in gcp applications.
7. Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Skill Requirements
1. Proficiency in google cloud platform services such as compute engine, app engine, cloud storage, bigquery, and cloud functions.
2. Experience with programming languages like python, java, or node.js for gcp application development.
3. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containers, and container orchestration tools like kubernetes on gcp.
4. Handson experience in designing and implementing restful apis and integrating third-party services on gcp.
5. Knowledge of ci/cd pipelines, automation tools, and infrastructure as code (iac) on gcp.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
7. Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders, present technical solutions, and lead discussions on gcp application development strategies.
Other Requirements
1.Google Professional Cloud Developer certification is preferred.
